In early 2013 on a whim I mailed a cd of instrumentals I was working on at home to Brian Records. At that time Brian Records were releasing lathe cut vinyl by artist such as Nils Frahm, Peter Broderick and Moon Ate The Dark. On the Johan G Winther release buyers were asked to create their own artwork. My artwork was sent along with 2 tracks. Jim loved (well I think he loved) the 2 tracks and this led to the project that became The Bandstand. The tracks became a soundtrack to the characters in the Roddy Doyle story of the same name. The amazing art was provided by Robert Wegner. During the summer of 2013 I recorded the rest of the tracks with producing and engineering provided by Mark Cobrin in Astoria Queens. The release in it's physical form was cut to 5 lathe cut 5in discs which could only hold 2 minutes of music. Thus, the release is 20 minutes long. Jim did an outstanding job with this super limited box set (only 20 copies were made). Knowing that very few ever got to hear this release, I present to you now The Bandstand.
